Baby bunny

Since I had a family portrait session scheduled on Mother's Day I hung out with my mom for her special day on Saturday. My brother, sister and their families and me couldn't land on a date for all of us to do something together, so we were all fending for ourselves. We'll all be together for her birthday at the end of this month, so that'll be good.

Since the weather was cold last Saturday and mom doesn't "do" cold she decided she wanted us to see a movie. After much discussion and time checking we settled on Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Anniston. Mom and I both liked the movie. As mom said afterward, "it was light and funny, just what I needed."

On the way back to the house we stopped at Applebees to see if they had a good dessert menu. We shared the Triple Chocolate Meltdown. It was yummy.

Mom told me about a baby bunny that had been eating clover in the front yard and how my 5- and 3-year-old nephews had been enjoying watching it all week. As I was leaving to go home the bunny showed up. Mom said, "oh, you'll never get a picture of him." I did.

Despite the ten thousand calories from movie popcorn and the Meltdown it was a good day.
